Nicole Shokry is an Egyptian artist and illustrator based in Providence, RI. While attending the Rhode Island School of Design, she devotes her work to exploring the intersections of the limitations of material with the limitlessness of truth and beauty.
Rooted in Coptic iconography and traditional art forms, she works to bridge the gap between what is seemingly lost. During her time at RISD, her work has been showcased most notably at the Museo Degli Innocenti in Florence, Italy.
Through layered symbolic material and storytelling, she seeks to create images that touch upon the immaterial.
